Install Mycellios
Use the native application for persistent participation and local network control. Use the browser worker when you want to test contribution without an installation.
Native application
Choose the installer for this machine:
| Platform | Package | Download |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 10/11 x64 | Setup executable | Download for Windows |
| macOS 14+ Apple Silicon | DMG | Download for Apple Silicon |
| macOS Intel x64 | DMG | Download for Intel Mac |
| Ubuntu or Debian x64 | DEB | Download DEB |
| Fedora or RHEL x64 | RPM | Download RPM |
- Download the package for the operating system.
- Open the installer and complete the platform prompts.
- Start Mycellios.
- Continue to First connection.
Code signing and notarization are being rolled out. An early build may show an operating-system publisher warning. Use only packages linked from the official download page or the official GitHub release.
Browser worker
Open the browser worker, review the detected capability, and confirm contribution.
The browser worker:
- prefers WebGPU when the browser exposes a compatible adapter;
- falls back to a certified CPU path when available;
- contributes only while the session is active and the page remains visible;
- may request a wake lock to avoid suspension.
For a machine that should remain available after the browser closes, install the native application instead.
Verify the installation
The application should show:
- a coordinator connection state;
- the detected CPU, memory, and GPU;
- whether contribution is enabled;
- a runtime state separate from simple network connectivity.
A connected device is not necessarily executing a model. Mycellios only counts compute after the relevant runtime and model deployment are validated.
